Connecting across borders and learning together, SIS was thrilled to participate in the International Friendship Camp 2026 (International Friendship Initiative for Global to Local Engagement – CU Saraburi 2026), held from June 2 to June 6, 2026, across Chula Saraburi and local sites in Saraburi Province.
Proudly hosted by the Chula’s Center of Social Engagement, Saraburi, this five-day initiative united a diverse international community of students, faculty, and staff. Delegates from SIS, Faculy of Science, hulalongkorn University, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Queensway Secondary School from Singapore joined hands with local Thai students and teachers from Kaeng Khoi School and Suankularb Wittayalai Saraburi School to foster global friendships and drive local impact.
The camp itinerary was brimming with memorable activities that blended sustainability education, skill-building, and rich cultural exchange. Participants engaged in dynamic “English in Daily Life” workshops led by Chula’s BBTech & BISTech students, alongside student-led icebreakers and an energetic Sports Day and Leadership Summit organized by Queensway Secondary School. Environmental awareness took center stage through interactive Carbon Neutrality and Climate Resilience workshops led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongchai Dumrongrojwatthana from Dept. of Biology and his experienced team. The energy continued through hands-on learning stations, firefly sightings, and a Cultural Cook-off Challenge, star gazing.
As we look back on these unforgettable days, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing host, the Center of Social Engagement, as well as all instructors, staff, and student leaders whose dedication made this initiative such a resounding success. The cross-cultural connections forged and the shared commitment to community engagement will continue to inspire all participating institutions.
